Lured into a deadly trap

Dear Pastor,

Greetings in the name of the One who rules the heaven and the earth. I am a single 26-year-old woman. I did not lose my virginity until I was 21. I was afraid of men. I did not know anything about sex and bedroom activities. I attended a school in Manchester. The lady I lived with was a total stranger to me. I got a scholarship. The scholarship I received included accommodations, but it was like I lived in hell. The lady pretended to be nice but was the devil in disguise. There were other girls living there with me.

One day, the girls that lived there and I decided that we would leave. We went to live in a home that we thought was a safe place, but the man was a paedophile. Three of us were living at his house. I found out that he was having sex with one of the girls, but he was afraid of me because I was talkative, so he introduced me to one of his cousins. And that was how I lost my virginity.

After I graduated, I received a call from one of the girls saying that she was pregnant and that it was for the man. A few weeks later, I received another call from the other girl, who stated that she was also pregnant and it was for the same man, but he told her to give the child to the other man, and so that was what she did. I spoke to the man who got both girls pregnant and he said he was a changed man now.

Last week, I was at my house and he called me and asked me if I could accompany him to Manchester and he would take me back home the next day. I agreed, but when we arrived in Manchester, I wanted to visit my friends. He discouraged me from going. During the night, I woke up to find him touching me on my private parts. I reminded him that he could be my father and he should be protecting me. He told me he just needed a little bit of comfort. I screamed and we started to fight. I could not overpower him, so he ripped off my clothes and forced himself on me. Although I told him to stop, he continued to rape me.

A few weeks later, I started to feel ill. I am now pregnant. I tried calling him many times and he is not answering. My mother has tried to call him, but he is not answering either. I left messages on his phone. I texted him, but no response. Finally, he texted me and said that he had spent his money on the other girls and on me, so he was taking it back, and if I reported him, he was going to fight it. People are saying that he did not rape me when I was living with him, so why would he rape me now? I am thinking about getting the police involved in this matter.

Raped

Dear Raped,

You are claiming that this man got your girlfriends pregnant. You were well aware of the type of man that he was. Why then did you accept his invitation to go out with him and to sleep at his house? If this man raped you, you should have reported him to the police as soon as you were able to do so. I don't doubt that something went on between the both of you, but I do not believe that you are relating the story as it happened.

If you are indeed pregnant by this man, I hope that you insist that he supports his child. This man ought to know that it is wrong to have a relationship with three girls who were friends, and I hope that he changes his lifestyle.
