52-y-o, 19-y-o drown in St Elizabeth |

The police say that a man of Highgate, St Mary, and a teenager of Newell district in St Elizabeth drowned in separate incidents on Tuesday. Reports are that residents of Kilancholy, Highgate, summoned the police to a river in the area about 10:30 a.m., where they saw the body of 52-year-old Bentley Banton floating in the water. The body was removed to the morgue by the lawmen. Meanwhile, the Black River police reported that 19-year-old Paul Hutchinson drowned at the Fort Charles Beach in St Elizabeth. The lawmen said that Hutchinson went swimming with friends about 2:20 p.m., when he experienced difficulties and drowned. His body has not been found. |
