Tasha T gets kudos for 'Real Talk' |

Tasha T Reggae singer Tasha T has been riding a wave of success with her recently released sophomore album, Real Talk. The 20-track album features production work from an array of top Jamaican producers, including Bobby Digital, Paul 'Computer Paul' Henton and Mikey Bennett. Since its release, Real Talk has received rave reviews from a number of international reggae websites and magazines including Reggaeville.com and Unitedreggae.com. "The response to the album has been very good, it has received a lot of kudos from people all over the world. I am very happy that it has been so warmly received by everyone who has listened it." Real Talk is number 14 on DJ Gusma T's Top 20 Reggae Album Charts. Tasha T said the response proved people are still interested in positive, uplifting music. "People all over the world want to listen to good music. That's why my album is getting so much love. All the songs on Real Talk are positive, all of them convey good messages. In these times people want food for thought, not just feel good music. Reggae music is always welcomed by the masses because it's soothing and nourishing to the soul," said Tasha T. The first single off the album, Bed of Fire, has been receiving a lot of attention from DJs around the world. It is in the number-one position of the Rebel Vibez Canadian Reggae Charts. "Bed of Fire is doing very well, it's getting a lot of airplay in Canada and other parts of the world. I have to give thanks to all the DJs who are supporting my music," said the artiste. Tasha T is undertaking the US leg of her Real Talk tour. So far, she has performed at the Long Island Caribbean American Music Festival in New York. Tomorrow, she is set to host an album launch at the Tafari Café in Brooklyn, New York. The summer-long tour will also see her doing dates in places across the US - Philadelphia Jerk Festival (Philadelphia) on June 22; Festival of Life (Chicago) on July 4, the People's Festival (Delaware) on July 26 and the Star Wave Organic Music Festival (Connecticut) on August 23. |
