St Mary cops seek help identifying body

The Oracabessa police in St Mary are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the body of a man whom they believe was the victim of a hit-and-run along the Boscobel main road in the parish on Thursday.

The body is of brown complexion, about 150 pounds and is believed to be in its 50s.

Reports are that about 9:30 p.m., residents saw the body on the roadway and summoned the police. It was later deduced by the cops that the man was hit by a motor vehicle, which did not stop.

Anyone with information relating to the incident or the man's identity is being asked to contact the Oracabessa police at 975-3233, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
