Two women accused of practising and soliciting obeah were hauled before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

Rosetta Nobles and Stephanie Hall-Beckford were charged with soliciting the practice of obeah and preaching obeah, respectively.

The court heard that the complainant, who previously appeared in court, is now deceased. It is believed that both women are alleged to have stabbed to death the female complainant, who claimed to have video footage of the accused women in the act, in front of police officers.

Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey ordered Nobles and Hall-Beckford to return to court on June 10 for a mention hearing. Nobles had her bail extended. Hall-Beckford was remanded in custody.
