Insight recording artiste Mr Khool recently joined forces with the management of popular Mandeville eatery, the Food Hut Restaurant, to launch a feeding programme for the homeless in the area.

The programme, which is operated by the Mr Khool and Food Hut Foundation, provides meals and refreshments for more than two dozen homeless folks in Mandeville every Sunday.

The soft-spoken deejay who hails from Christiana, Manchester, said it has long been his desire to lend a helping hand to the needy.

"I've always said I would help the needy when I make it in the music biz. But I can't wait until I make it to help the people who need help, I have to start now and do whatever I can. Everywhere I look, I see people who are in need of some kind of help, especially the homeless people on the streets of Mandeville."

He also said that he was thankful for the support of the Food Hut Restaurant, as undertaking the feeding programme would be very difficult without their support.

"I have to big up the Food Hut for their support, without their help it would be almost impossible to carry out the programme. They are some very good people and I am thankful for their support," said Mr Khool.

In order to raise funds to support the feeding programme, Mr Khool will be staging an event called Voom Voom Charity at the Village Hut in Knockpatrick, Manchester, on May 31.

The party which takes its name from his single titled Voom Voom will feature the likes of Pink Panther, ZIP FM's ZJ Chrome, Niney Badness, DJ Cash Cash, Fada Hype and a host of other popular selectors and sound systems.

"I'm keeping this event to help raise funds to continue the work we are doing. Part proceeds from the event will go to the Mr Khool and Food Hut Foundation," he said.
