Successful quarter for Contractor Music Marketing

Sean 'Contractor' Edwards said he's happy to have steered his company, Contractor Music Marketing, to a successful first quarter, but won't be resting on his laurels.

Thus far, in 2014, Edwards' firm has managed to market projects to overwhelming success. The list includes Ninja Man's birthday bash, partnering with Atlanta-based charity organisation ConnectJA and the sponsoring of Irie FM's live radio broadcast of the ISSA Boys and Girls Champs as well as Penn Relays.

After much promotion, Ninja Man's annual party, held at Turtle River Park, Ocho Rios, played host to more than 10, 000 patrons, who were rewarded for their attendance with quality performances from the likes of Capleton, Etana and Bounty Killer.

The useful partnership with ConnectJA is set up to assist schools in Jamaica achieve educational success, through the acquisition and maintenance of computer hardware and software. The parties plan to bring Rick Ross to Jamaica later this year for a charity concert. The popular athletic championships, Champs and Penn Relays, have been staple track and field events in their 100-plus years of existence. And so, being part of the machinery, which showcases it to the public was a bonus for Edwards and company.

"It has been a favourable first quarter, in marketing terms," said Edwards, who is also an active reggae recording artiste.

"Contractor Music Marketing will continue to be relentless in its approach with the projects listed for the remainder of the year."

Those marketing projects include Ninja Man's trio of appreciation-day celebrations for taxi drivers, teachers and police, and reggae shows across Europe this summer and beyond.

The St Ann-based marketing guru is also looking to expand his marketing reach to more radio and television stations worldwide.

"There is no secret to my marketing. I simply carry out the tasks, follow through and provide feedbacks. I am looking to expand my reach because marketing is an ever-evolving industry," he said.
