Two men slapped with an additional charge of murder had their bail revoked when they appeared in the St Catherine Circuit Court on Thursday. Those remanded are Sean Coffie, 30, and Cheviena Allen, both from Portmore, St Catherine. When the two men appeared on charges of conspiracy and wounding with intent, they were ordered remanded after the investigating officer Detective Corporal Dave Harris told the court the two are now charged with murder. They appear in the Corporate Area Gun Court on June 16 along with Alton Maxwell. Coffie and Allen were previously charged with the March 1, 2013 shooting and injuring of Coffie's wife, Sasha-Gaye Coffie. She was subsequently shot and killed on October 21, 2003, and following an investigation by the St Catherine South Major Investigation Task Force, they were charged in connection with her murder. Coffie, the Crown alleges, hired a hit on his wife. He is being represented by attorneys-at-law Churchill Neita and Patrick Peterkin. |
