After spending the last 14 years of his life in Britain, Jamaican-born rapper Cashief Nichols was deported back to the country by the United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA) recently.

Though the reason for his deportation remains unclear, Cashtastic, as he is more popularly known, took to his verified Twitter page to confirm that he was detained and given removal directions on March 24.

"They said I'm not conducive for the public good and that I'm a bad character," he said.

The rapper, who migrated to Britain at the age of six to live with his mother, maintains that he was not being detained for 'any good legal reason', and requested that his fans petition the airline and his local member of parliament on his behalf, to halt the deportation.

His efforts were, however, in vain as he was deported back to Jamaica just four days after.

Moments after arriving in the island, the rapper once again took to his Twitter page with a message for his fans.

"Just letting everyone know that I've landed safe ... First time I've been on a plane since I was a child. It was an experience ....This is a lot ...."

He added that though Jamaica is a nice holiday spot, being here under these conditions was tough. Remaining optimistic, however, he thanked his fans for their unwavering support.

"Thank you again for the continued support. We must stay strong and positive. Keep the movement going. We can't accept this kind of injustice. Big thank you to everyone that tried to help, UKBA are adamant that they need to remove me. This isn't the end. We will keep fighting."

Cashtastic was signed to Universal Records last summer and his debut mixtape, Alarm Clock, was released in February.

Several of his high-profile counterparts (also signed to Universal), also took to their social media pages to petition on his behalf. An online petition has also been set up to appeal his deportation.
