No After Champs fête for Alkaline

The management of deejay Alkaline, has announced that the artiste will not be attending this year's after- Champs fête because he was not officially booked through his management team.

"We will not be honouring any more bookings made through Cahban Rekords Limited. We have only one show left with Cahban and that is May 11 at Dump Up Beach in Montego Bay. If you contact anyone else for bookings other than the official 442-0784, the artiste will not be honouring these dates. If you use any other avenue, you are on your own," Kereena Beckford, a member of Alkaline's management team, said in a release.

The warning comes as they say scammers have been zoning in on the deejay, making dates for shows and even doing fake dubplates for sound systems.

"People are even doing splice dubs to send to sound systems, the scammers are hovering. There are fake Facebook pages and fake Twitter pages. Scammers have been soliciting dubs, so people need to be very careful in the choice of the proper channels to get in touch with Alkaline's team," Beckford added.

Alkaline can be contacted through Twitter @thealkaline, on Instagram @thealkaline, or through Facebook at alkalinemusiq, or at alka line on Facebook. The other member of Alkaline's management team who can be contacted is Kimona Bartley.

Alkaline will head out for his first official European stint in May. The Things Mi Love deejay will be in London for a week, making stops in several clubs, beginning April 6. Then he will embark on his official European tour May to June 2014.
