Montego Bay United kept their lead atop the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) table intact following a 1-0 win over Tivoli Gardens at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex yesterday.

A fifth-minute strike by Omar Gordon in a fiercely fought encounter was enough for the team to stretch their lead over Tivoli, moving to 45 points and 11 clear of the fifth-place team, with eight rounds of games remaining.

Second-place Harbour View, however, three points off the top spot, kept pace with the leaders following a 3-0 thrashing of mid-table Cavalier at the Harbour View Stadium. Brian Brown opened the scoring in the 7th minute, Damarley Oliver added another in the 30th and Damion Harwood a third in the 62nd minute.

At the other end of the table, Boys' Town did very little to ease their relegation fears following a 0-0 with Sporting Central at Collie Smith Drive. In an increasingly tight race for survival, second-from-bottom Rivoli were unable to take advantage following a 2-2 draw with Humble Lion at Effortville Community Centre.

In the late game Portmore took the opportunity to drift clear of the relegation zone, following a 1-0 win over August Town.
