LIME St Catherine street football set for kick-off |

Telecommunications firm LIME will conduct a draw for the 16 lucky teams who will be selected to compete in the LIME Street Football Challenge 2014 in the parish of St Catherine and the Portmore municipality. LIME is currently accepting entries from teams hoping to participate in the competition. A representative of each team is asked to visit the LIME store location in Portmore Mall and the Spanish Town Shopping Centre between the hours of 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. to submit entries. LIME will be conducting a draw for the 16 teams who will be selected to compete. Successful teams will be announced on air and contacted by LIME personnel thereafter. Entries are free of cost. "We have separated St Catherine and Portmore into two separate competitions and so we will be selecting 16 participants from each for a chance to compete," explained Carlo Redwood, VP Marketing at LIME. The first set of parish competitions will take place in Portmore and St Catherine on March 22 and 23, respectively. A total of 240 teams islandwide will be selected to take part in the fast-paced competition. Over an eight-hour single match day, a champion will be named in each parish followed by an islandwide knockout competition in search of the national champion. LIME will be offering successful teams a share of $2.5 million in cash. |
