Dragonfly unleashes at Club Privilege

Sherilla Gordon

At the beginning of this year's soca season, the promoters of Dragonfly have opted to create an out-of-the-box extraordinary experience.

Sherilla Gordon and Company (S.G.C), alongside D.A.M Good Enterprises and Club Privilege, will combine high-energy 'wuk ups' and smooth sultry 'chippin' soca music, the international sound of electronic dance music (EDM) and the pulsating energy of Jamaica's very own dancehall music into one complete event.

"Jamaicans have really warmed up to electronic dance music and, it being the middle of soca season, we thought to ourselves, why not create a fusion? And, of course, dancehall music cannot be left out, so we are creating the perfect musical blend into one euphoric event," expressed Sherilla Gordon of S.G.C about the event concept.

The event invites patrons to come out on Ash Wednesday (March 5) and Live In The Moment with music by three of Jamaica's finest disc jocks, DJ Cyclone, DJ Supastylz (Hot 102FM), and DJ DreDay from the Renaissance Sound System.

Each disc jockey will be focusing on one of the three genres, and word on the street is they are already planning their individual sets for the event, which will be inclusive of popular as well as exclusive remixes.

In addition to patrons receiving complimentary vodka drinks all night, Dragonfly will also be offering some eye candy to go along with these signature drink mixes by having D.A.M Good Brownie bites served by waitresses seductively dressed in carnival costumes.

"Jamaica Blue Spring Water has partnered with us as well to ensure our patrons will be properly hydrated during all the festivities, so there will be detox segments throughout the night," concluded Dominic McDowell of D.A.M Good Enterprises.

The name 'Dragonfly' itself represents joy and lightness of being, and the promoters have assured that is exactly what patrons can expect at the event, immense enjoyment and fun.
