A Jamaican is facing a two-year prison sentence after he was fined $30,000, on two charges, last week in Barbados. He was arrested and charged for narcotics, THE STAR understands.

According to www.cbc.bb, 41-year-old, Alburn Augustus Cato was facing four charges, was fined $15,000 forth with on each, for the charges of trafficking and possession with intent to supply.

THE STAR gathered that the fine was not paid and Cato faces a two-year prison term.

Cato, however, was convicted, reprimanded and discharged on the count of possession and reprimanded and discharged on the charge of importation.

Reports are that Cato arrived in Barbados on Wednesday, February 19, at Grantley Adams International Airport, and was interviewed by the police after drugs were discovered concealed in his luggage.
