Video footage surfaces in wholesale robbery case

The prosecution in a matter involving a man who has been accused of robbing a wholesale say that they have video footage with the accused committing the act.

Damar Foote, who has been charged with robbery with aggravation, was offered $200,000 bail in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

Foote, who pleaded not guilty, is to return to court next month, when the matter will be mentioned as the file is incomplete.

Allegations are that on the day of the incident, the accused broke into the establishment and stole $100,000 cash , a necklace that is valued over US$2,000 (J$216,244), phonecards and other items.

As a condition of Foote's bail, he is to report to the police three times per week and to surrender his travel documents.
