Montego Bay United Football Club climbed to the top of the Red Stripe Premier League following a 3-2 win against Cavalier at Wes Pow Park in Montego Bay, St James, yesterday. The Pastor Hugh Solomon-coached to come from behind victory after Cavalier went 2-0 up courtesy of a double strike from captain Girvon Brown in the 12th and 31st minutes. However, the home team fought back and scored three goals in eight minutes. Omar Gordon (55th), Dino Williams (62nd) and Fabian McCarthy (63rd) were the goalscorers. The victory pushed Montego Bay United to 39 points taking the lead from Harbour View and Waterhouse, both on 38 points apiece. Waterhouse have a better goal difference. Interim coach of Montego Bay United Pastor Hugh Solomon was impressed by the team's quality. "It was a good performance by the team as we started slow and conceded two goals in the first half. At the break, I spoke to the team and the guys came out and scored three quick goals for a good comeback," Solomon, who will continue to coach the team until a replacement is found, said. "There is self-belief in the team. We have a good crop of players," he added. Harbour View's woes continued as they were held to a 0-0 draw by cellar team August Town at York Oval in St Thomas. Waterhouse and Sporting Central Academy battled to a 0-0 draw at Juici Patties Park in Clarendon. Arnett Gardens edged Boys' Town 2-1 in a game played at the St Elizabeth Technical High School Complex. Andrew Clennon opened the scoring for Arnett Gardens in 22nd minute, but that strike was cancelled by Peter Keyes, who equalised for Boys' Town from the penalty spot in the 52nd minute. Newton Sterling got the winning goal in the 68th minute to move his tally for the season to 10 goals.
