Coach Bertland Cameron was pleased with the performance of the Cameron Blazers quartet of Chumaine Fitten, Javere Bell, Josef Robertson and Oral Thompson who brought the 2014 Milo Western Relays to a close in fine style on Saturday night.

The team scored an impressive win in the Clubs and Institutions, stopping the clock at 3:08.36 to turn back GC Foster College (3:13.51) and the University of West Indies 3:13.60.

Cameron a former World champion, was very pleased with his team's success.

"I feel very good about this win as it was the first time I am assembling such a quality group. I am looking forward to the Gibson Relays, as I know they can run much faster. After the opening leg, the other guys had no competition as they just went through the motion," said Cameron.

An MVP female 4x100 metres relay team, which included triple World Championships gold medallist, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce also scored a big win at the meet, as they clocked 43.87 seconds as Sprint Tech (44.63) and UTech 45.05 had to settle for second and third, respectively.
