Upcoming dancehall sensation Blaazz is threatening to flip the dancehall game with his witty metaphors and infectious flows which have won him a generation of new teenage fans.

He is off to a rocket start for 2014 as he is widely regarded as one of the best lyricists in the fresh crop of dancehall faces based on the streetside buzz on his new singles, Raper Bwoy and Heaven Housetop, which are blowing up FM radio.

Most of the buzz surrounds his flow on Raper Bwoy, where he sounds uncannily like early 2000s Vybz Kartel, one of the best deejays of his generation. The single has become a daily staple on IRIE FM, especially with great support from disc jockey Neil 'DJ Smurf' Stewart.

"The song is doing well because the issue of rape has unfortunately become too commonplace in our society, so the single is gaining a lot of momentum right now, we have to protect the women and little girls from these savages. It is a serious topic but I address it with a little bit of wit so it doesn't sound like the same old anti-rape songs," he said.

Last month, Blaazz did an hour-long 'Easy Skanking' interview with veteran radio personality Elise Kelly, and based on how well he handled the questions, he has won over several industry professionals such as promoters and producers. Blaazz first began to gain public recognition with his hilariously engaging, Tax Everything, a real issue with Jamaicans facing the twin tigers of inflation and high unemployment.

The artiste will release his second mixtape - Lyrical Messiah - this month.
