Grief and shock showed on the faces of the occupants of a house on Penso Street, Jones Town, St Andrew, following an incident of rape, robbery and murder yesterday.

THE STAR learnt that about 3 a.m. gunmen, three of whom were masked, gained entrance to a house where a laptop, a number of cell phones and other items were stolen.

A 21-year-old woman was raped and a man identified as O'rantis Daley was shot dead.

"A friend of the family was used as leverage to gain entrance to the house, but the man jumped through a window and escaped and the men ran after him," said a 22-year-old occupant.

He also explained that one of the men shot Daley in front of his five year-old child and that a 13-year-old was also gun-butted. Daley's common-law wife was also gun-butted.

When THE STAR visited the community, few occupants were seen in the yard, while others tried to clean up the house.

The police are currently investigating.
