Today, we continue with our buzzworthy feature, Paternity Puzzle. The Paternity Puzzle feature attempts to help families solve paternity disputes. One lucky person, each month, will get a free test and reveal the truth once and for all. This and every Wednesday, we publish the story of a mother and a suspected father who will both give their sides in tales of allegations and denial. Be sure to follow the series as THE STAR awards a free DNA test, sponsored by Caribbean Genetics, to the most interesting story for the month. A young man's search for his dad has connected him to his alleged father who bears the same surname. However, the journey might have just begun, as the paternal parent says he has no knowledge of even the possibility of his conception. THE STAR understands that the alleged father's brother has also been drawn into the drama and he has categorically denied any involvement with the young man's mother. The young man, 24-year-old Sanjay Manning, said that over the years he has been asking for his dad and his mother has never given him any answers. The woman at the centre of the saga, Sharon Kates, has admitted being involved with the alleged father, but she has told THE STAR that she was also involved with another man bearing the same name. Manning said that his mother recently broke her silence on the issue and made a call to the alleged father, Peter Forest, 45, who confirmed with THE STAR that he told Manning that he doesn't have a clue how his mother looks. Kates told THE STAR that she and Forest were involved and she used to visit his workplace. She said that she doesn't consider her involvement with Forest as a relationship, but a fling. Interestingly, Kates also revealed that she eventually got involved with another man who goes by the same name as Forest, but that was another brief relationship. Kates said: I don't even know what to tell you, but most time me just get ignorant and don't want to talk about it. Maybe if Forest meet me, then he would remember me, but I did eventual meet another guy who dem call Forest to. Manning (son) said: She nuh give me nuh details and all the time I have been asking her to tell me who my father is. A long time me ask fi mi father and me big enough to find out. Forest (alleged father) said: I can't remember this woman. she called me in December and from there it is been on my mind. I don't know what this woman or her son look like; I would have to meet her. Manning (son) said: If it was fi mi mother, I wouldn't know anything. People say me favour him (Forest) and dem say dat I even look like his daughter. Forest (alleged father) said: I have a daughter who is almost his (Manning's) age and mi can clearly remember her mother, I don't see why I wouldn't remember this woman. Back in the 1980s, I was in the United States and was there for a while. Kates said: As I said, I don't know what to explain because I tell my son to leave di issue alone and tell him (Forest) dat I want to see him and maybe if him see me, he would remember me. Di next man name Forest to, but I don't know anything about him; mi jus know dat him come from St Andrew. All of the parties involved in the drama have intentions to one day meet. However, Forest, most of all, wants a DNA test to know the truth. Names changed Do you have any doubts that a child is yours, or have you been denied access to a child that you believe is yours?
