Star Tell Me Pastor

Sex in the day

Dear Pastor,

Why is it that some women only want to have sex at nights? I am a security guard and I have to work mostly at nights but I am at home during the day. My girlfriend has a 6-month-old baby so I told her that when the baby is sleeping we should spend some time together. She doesn't want to have sex with me during the day and if she agrees, after she leaves the bathroom she closes up all the windows and pulls the curtains to make the place dark. She doesn't want me to see her body but I told her that I know her body. If I try to look at her she shouts at me, "Don't look at me." Sometime the place is so hot and she is still fussing. I told her that I am tired of fighting with her and I am going to find another woman.

She is not working and she depends on me for everything and still she is fighting me over a little sex because I can only do it during the day. And she says that she doesn't like daylight sex.

Y.R

Dear Y.R.,

I hope you will not leave your child's mother. She has a problem. There is something that she is not telling you. On the surface one would say she has certain inhibitions but how could that be after being with you and having a child by you? Both of you need to go and see a family counsellor.

I want you to know however that there are some women who behave like that. They do not like to have sex during the day. They are not comfortable at all and this matter of nakedness is still a problem to many people, Christians and non-Christians. I met a man who was married for many years and he confessed that he has never seen his wife naked. And they had children together. They finally got a divorce. A woman told me that she has never seen her husband naked. Should I say what a tragedy? How can such relationships last when couples don't trust each other to see their nakedness? So I repeat, don't think of leaving your woman. Seek some help and I hope this problem would be resolved and both of you will get married.
