Jamaica's towering netballer Jhanielle Fowler-Reid has set herself some simple goals for the tri-nation series between Jamaica, England and New Zealand. The team departed Jamaica on Sunday and defeated Wales 60-25 on Wednesday as they prepare to take on two of the best teams in the world. For the newly wed player her goal is simple.

"My personal objective is to come out with a very high shooting percentage, and to make sure that I am there 110 per cent for my teammates," she said.

The tour is her last before she returns to New Zealand where she will try to match the feats of her rookie season, when she broke the scoring record for a single game, set a new one for most goals scored in a season and was voted Best Newcomer and MVP. But for the Jamaica ace goal shooter it should not be a problem handling the expectations.

"I want to remain humble," she said.

"I am going in with the same kind of wants that I went into it with the first year and even more. I don't think it is going to be a hard task to follow my own footsteps or to go beyond what I have done. I believe in myself that much. I am sure I will accomplish as much as I did last season and even more."

Unlike her first season, Fowler-Reid, who married her longtime beau André Reid on the last day 2013, will be bringing her family with her. She believes it will be a big boost for her.

"It's going to be amazing having them there (her husband and daughter Drehannah) because I know how it felt being there alone with no family members there."

Having them there, she said, will help her be an even better player than she was in her rookie season. "Honestly, I think I am going to be much more focused because I couldn't sleep. My sleep was being severely affected by me just thinking about my family and trying to wait up just to call because of the time difference, so because now when I go home from training or from a game my husband and my daughter are going to be there, it's going to be good."
