The Red Stripe Monday Night Live football is all set for a come back to local television on February 10.

"It is coming back to television. We are putting things in place to start the third season of the Red Stripe Monday Night Live football on February 10. We are finalising details for that to happen," Erin Mitchell, Red Stripe Brand manager, said yesterday.

Red Stripe, as sponsors of the Premier League, initiated the Monday Night Live football programme that has increased the popularity of the league since 2012.

"We have been pleased with what has happened, hence the decision taken to continue it as the company has benefited. Football is a great association for Red Stripe," Mitchell disclosed.

During last season, back-to-back Red Stripe Premier League golden boot winner Jermaine 'Tuffy' Anderson was the main crowd puller whenever Waterhouse played on Monday nights. He was dubbed 'Mr Monday Night' because he delivered regularly in those games on television.

Anderson has transferred from Waterhouse to Club Deportivo Aguila in El Salvador.

"We are very pleased that he (Anderson) is playing away. However, we believe that there are other personalities playing in the league," she pointed out.
