Reggae Boyz striker Jermaine 'Tuffy' Anderson left the island yesterday on his mission to finalise a contract with top El Salvador Primera Division team, Club Deportivo Aguila.

The-34 year-old marksman Anderson could make the move from local Red Stripe Premier League club, Waterhouse, official, depending on his performance in training sessions later this week. The deal is yet to be finalised.

"The transfer will be made, if he makes the grade in training at the club. It would become a permanent deal," Ricardo 'Ricky' Chin, president of Waterhouse FC said shortly after Anderson left for El Salvador.

"Well, maybe, before the week is out a decision could be arrived at. If all goes well, he could be playing there," Chin disclosed.

Anderson won the RSPL golden boot award in the 2011-12 and 2012-13 season, and is Waterhouse's top scorer this season with six goals. He has represented the senior team on seven occasions and scored twice. His goal against Costa Rica in a World Cup qualifier last year at the National Stadium earned Anderson a RJR People's Choice Award nomination.

C D Aguila, commonly known as Aguila, is a Salvadoran football club based in San Miguel, El Salvador. Aguila is one of the most successful clubs in El Salvador. They have won 15 Primera Division championships, one Copa Presidente title and one CONCACAF Champions' Cup.
