Austin hungry for goals

Jamaica international Rodolph Austin has expressed a desire to add more goals to his game, after being on the scoresheet for his team Leeds United.

Austin, who is known as a no nonsense player in the heart of Jamaica's Reggae Boyz' and Leeds midfield, netted a goal in the dying minutes of a 3-0 rout for the English Championship Division team over Doncaster.

The win enabled Leeds to replace Nottingham Forest in the final play-off place. The hard-nosed midfielder, who beat the goalkeeper with a fierce low drive to goal, believes finding the net could be more a feature of his game.

"It was long overdue to be honest. I should have more and I want to score more goals," Austin told UK online publication Vital Leeds (http://www.leeds.vitalfootball.co.uk).

58 appearances

"I`m not putting pressure on myself but sometimes I get into goalscoring positions and I want to finish them because if I can get some goals it is good for the team. Austin has found the net for the Jamaica national team on four occasions in 58 appearances, with a similar record for Leeds of four in 50.

The player also expressed content with life at the club.

"It is a good group that we have here. Everyone wants to play and everyone wants to win so the competition is good in the team. Everyone wants to play for the manager so that is good."
