Westchester Rudiz triumph in St Catherine Domino League

History was created last Sunday as Westchester Rudiz won their first crown as they defeated Portmore Lane Tigers 250-240 in the final of the Colin Fagan-sponsored South East St Catherine Domino League at the Ken's Wildflower Sports Bar and Lounge at Bayside.

Westchester made the game difficult for themselves as they had a 26-point lead at half-time only to see Tigers roaring back to put more interest in the game.

With the score at 240-236, it was nobody's game. But Westchester kept their nerves and grabbed the title they longed for with a 10-4 run to close the match.

The presentations were held immediately after the final. Westchester got $60,000 and a trophy for first place. Second-place Tigers received $30.000. Passagefort got $15,000 for third, while fourth place, Ken's Wildflower, received $10,000.
