Tanto is no competition - LA Lewis
For tonight's celebrity face-off encounter, the self-professed seven-star general, LA Lewis promises to bring it! According to LA Lewis, his fans and patrons can expect his usual high energy and boasts that this will be the biggest celebrity clash since its inception. He told THE STAR: "Dem can expect the usual LA Lewis, but this time in an illuminati vibe. The whole place just ago illuminate from start to finish. Just come out because this one is going to be the biggest so far." As it relates to his competition, this was what LA Lewis had to say: "A Tanto Flop him name, he's no competition, he's a walk over. My dub dem heavy!" LA Lewis told THE STAR that he had no problem compiling dub plates for the encounter. He said: " No problem getting dubs. I am di illuminati, so fi get anybody is not a task. Mi can tell yuh who and who mi have pan dub because a nuh all of dem mi ago get fi play ... mi have Beres Hammond, Shaggy and Sean Paul ... Don't be surprised if him hear a brand new Kartel dub plate. Mi studio name Futuristic Studio." LA Lewis, in the meantime, says he is busy working on his upcoming 21-track album to be released next year entitled Titan God. Adding to that, he says at present he is in a lyrical war with Mad Cobra and have a string of war songs to release in short order. LA Lewis told THE STAR: "Cobra dem talk say dem beat me up, so mi have three songs fi dem, 7 Star, Animal Killing and Better Don't Run which will be distributed by Hapilos 21 and J Wonder dem." Tanto Blacks is on a mission to secure victory against LA Lewis in this his first ever clash on any platform, whether in his art form as a deejay or in today's capacity as a selector. The two will face off at 11 p.m. tonight inside Club Famous as part of a celebrity feature in the Magnum All Star $1,000,000 sound clash series. Tanto Blacks told THE STAR yesterday in no uncertain terms that it is going to be acrimonious. He said: "Right now, I want the people dem come out and meticulously scrutinise it." According to the artiste, although he was a late entrant in the competition, he is prepared. He said: "It's going ok ... even though a Monday night dem call mi when mi deh a country. Right now, mi a drive around ina mi Volvo vintage, and a drive from studio to studio a look mi dub dem. A mi first experience ever in a clash." The artiste says he is in good spirits and expects a good encounter. In addition, Tanto Blacks says he has two songs to be released soon, one of which features Supa Hype. He also has a new dance move called 'Handi' which he will release soon. Tanto Blacks also encourages his fans to come out and see him this Saturday in MoBay and May Pen, respectively.
