Bolt's coach eyes 2020 Olympics, sprinter unsure |

The world's fastest man Usain Bolt says his coach Glen Mills believes he could have an active role to play in the sport as far as the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. The current world record holder over both the 100m and 200m distances, at 27 years old, had originally targeted retirement after the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, but had since reconsidered that option. The sprinter, however, admits that he is not sure about his coach's assessment which would have the sprinter competing in the Olympics at 34 years old. "At the beginning of the season I had a meeting with my coach, and we were talking about how long I can go on in track and field for," Bolt told The Gulf Times (http://www.gulf-times.com). "I was saying 2017 would be the max and he said I probably could go to the Tokyo Olympics if I wanted to. I was like 'it's kind of far'," Bolt added. "So, it's something on his mind and not on my mind. I want to retire in 2017, but even if I don't run here, I'll definitely be here because I enjoy watching track and field. We'll see what happens, but I want to retire in 2017." Bolt has dominated every world event since coming to the fore ahead of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, where he won three gold medals. The sprinter followed up that performance with a dominant showing at the IAAF World Championships one year later, before doing the same at the 2011 Daegu World Championships and last year's 2012 London Olympic Games and this year's Moscow World Championships. The only blot on the sprinter's record came in Daegu where he lost the 100m title to training partner Yohan Blake, after false starting in the final.
