A man who is alleged to have threatened Crown witnesses was hauled before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. Charged with threatening Crown witnesses is Carlton Beckford. The court heard that on two separate occasions, Friday November 14 and 15, the accused, who is incarcerated at the Kingston Central Police Lock-up, allegedly used a cell phone to threaten both complainants not to attend court or else he would kill them. Beckford made the threats in relation to a case he currently has before the courts. Beckford pleaded not guilty and is to return to court on December 18 for trial. |
