Digicel starts Christmas campaign with concert |

All eyes were tuned to the stage as the Digicel dancers entertained the crowd during the recent launch of Digicel's Christmas campaign in Mandela Park, St Andrew. - Contributed Mandela Park was the place to be on Friday, as telecommunications leader Digicel kicked off its Christmas campaign with a massive concert. More than 1,500 patrons gathered in the park throughout the morning to either be entertained by several top acts on stage or for a chance to win a host of prizes. Hosted by Digicel Ambassador and radio personality, the effervescent Miss Kitty, the morning's activities kicked off with gospel artistes Ryan Marks and Kerron Ennis, followed by a riveting piece by Digicel Rising Stars winner, saxophonist Verlando. Later on in the morning, Tifa delivered a memorable performance before Assassin took over. The crowd was later seen in a frenzy courtesy of another of the telecoms' Brand Ambassadors, I-Octane. In the meantime, a main highlight of the morning was the Christmas Tree which contained loads of gift items that customers were able to win throughout the launch - ranging from HiLo shopping vouchers, 4G devices and data plans, Christmas hams courtesy of Caribbean Passions, bicycles, handsets and call credit to name a few. Digicel's Head of Recharge, Annalise Harewood, said the company was very happy with the reaction to its Christmas promotion which is dubbed, 'Brighten Someone's Christmas'. In the campaign, Digicel company is giving away $57 million in a host of fantastic prizes including: one weekly winner of $1M cash for eight weeks, thousands of daily and weekly winners of data plans, smartphones and supermarket vouchers, plus one grand prize of a 2013 Range Rover Evoque, a Blu Life Play Phone and a one-year data plan. To qualify to win, customers simply need to top up with $120 or more on their prepaid phones; talk for 10 minutes on their post-paid phones or pay their 4G broadband bill on time and in full. |
