Woman charged with murder of postmistress

Detectives have charged a woman in connection with the murder of Nathlee Hamilton, a retired postmistress from St Ann.

The woman also faces charges of abduction and burglary.

It is reported that the father of the child who was abducted and another man, both of whom were detained by investigators for questioning, remain in custody.

Hamilton was found dead on November 10 at her home in Beecher Town.

Her seven-week-old grandson was abducted.

A child, believed to be her grandson, was found three days later in a travelling bag in Bonam Spring in the parish. The police are awaiting the results of DNA tests to confirm his identity.
