Busy thankful - Celebrates anniversary since his release from prison |

It has been exactly one year since artiste Busy Signal disembarked from an aircraft on Jamaican soil after spending six months in a United States prison. A thankful Busy Signal told THE STAR that he was grateful for all his blessings. "It's such a blessing to be home. Exactly one year ago, I was back in Jamaica and celebrating my freedom. My mother had celebrated her birthday on November 9, so I was her birthday gift last year. Big up yuhself Mommy, happy belated birthday," he told THE STAR. While recounting his emotional journey, Busy stated that he spent the day giving thanks with his family and friends before going to to the studio to put in some hard work. Jamaican soil "A simplicity we deal wid. We never keep nutten big. Mi just a give thanks fi life. The Turf (his label) received a lot of additional blessings since my release, and mi just a give thanks fi touch back Jamaican soil. Give thanks fi freedom and give thanks fi all the prayers from my family and, especially from my fans," he said. With the 12 months elapsing very quickly, Busy stated that it sometimes felt like he never went to prison. "Sometimes it doesn't even feel like mi did get lock up because of all the blessings that have now been bestowed on me. I'm still current in terms of my career, I'm blessed and I'm grateful for all my fans. I have to thank my legal team Queen's Counsel KD Knight, Bill Mouzy, Bert Samuels and Charmian Rhoden. Big up the judge, big up the judicial system in Jamaica and overseas. "It's just the blessings. I didn't have to be here this quick, so I have to give thanks across the board. Thank God for one year of freedom," he said. He also gave some much-needed advice to other young persons. "Don't get unuh self inna nuh problem. Humble unuh self and pree
