Judge warns jealous boyfriend

A man whose jealousy reportedly led to the demise of his intimate relationship with his girlfriend was warned to stay away from her in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.

He became enraged after seeing his girlfriend at the time at a party recently in a setting that made him jealous.

A no order was eventually made in the matter.

Charged with assault at common-law was Germaine Brown.

The complainant asked Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey not to send her ex-boyfriend to jail, but asked her to warn him, " Please, leave me alone."

She claimed that the defendant ran her down with a knife because he could not sustain his jealously.

On the other hand, Brown denied running her down armed, but said he just ran after her because "she mek me feel jealous a way."
