|||||
As someone who has no experience in selecting, dancehall artiste Elephant Man says he just plans to entertain the audience when he takes on KipRich in the celebrity segment of the Magnum All-Star, $1,000,000 Face Off on Thursday. At the event that is slated to take place at Famous Nightclub, Portmore, Elephant Man says, "Mi just a go over deh and play some song and mek di people dem enjoy demself." As for the preparation, he said, "At the end of the day, mi busy ... Mi a nuh no selector, so mi just a go over deh fi entertain the people." Meanwhile, he said he is working on a collaboration with Busy Signal and the music video for Twerk will be released soon. He said he recently released a song called Wine and Come Over. - Sadeke Brooks His forte might be lyrical battles, but dancehall artiste KipRich says he will not 'clown out' the celebrity face-off. In the musical clash with Elephant Man that will prelude the Magnum All-Star Million Dollar Face Off at Famous Nightclub in Portmore, KipRich says he plans to bring his 'A' game despite the fact that this will be his first selecting gig. "Mi a go over deh fi play some good music, nuh clown out ting," he told THE STAR, noting that he has been preparing. While excited about the new experience, he said it will be quite different from singing his songs on stage. "This is very different 'cause a play you ago play some songs and your DJ has to be on point. When is a one-on-one stage clash, everything is you. The quick thing will deh deh same way and any DJ mi a work wid will haffi think quick same way," KipRich said. As for his opponent, "Mi waan mi opponent know seh mi hear seh him a pay people fi nuh give me no dub," he said, laughing. "But the people dem ago see wah a happen Thursday.
