The Paternity Puzzle feature attempts to help families solve paternity disputes. One lucky person each month will get a free test and reveal the truth once and for all.

This and every Wednesday, we publish the story of a mother and a suspected father, who will both give their sides in tales of allegations and denials.

A 20-year-old bartender who has admitted that she is not sure who is the father of her six-month-old son is claiming that one of her former lovers is pushing to get a DNA test done.

The woman Kerry Gayle, in an interview with THE STAR this week, said her son's real dad is one of two men.

Meanwhile, 28-year-old Jovan Hanson, the former lover who is questioning the paternity of the child, said he started having doubts when he found out that she was sleeping with another man.

"We got into an argument because I saw her at a popular club with another man, up in arms and that was one week after we had sex. I sent her a rude text about it, because I was upset."

Hanson said several weeks later Gayle announced that she was pregnant, and he started hearing rumours in his community that the child's father was one of two men, which excluded him.

He said: She did live wid another man during her pregnancy. I did eventually have to move out of my community to avoid certain things. People in di community did a call other names and nobody never know about me until in di end.

Gayle told THE STAR that it was Hanson who had insisted getting the child registered in his name.

He said: Dat is a lie, I didn't force my self into anything. She was the one who told me dat di child was mine, so I don't know what she is talking about.

Gayle told THE STAR that they met several years ago at a community function.

She said: We met at an event in the community, where he was giving a speech and from there we started talking.

However, the friendship took a turn when Gayle announced her pregnancy.

He said: Di baby don't look anything like me, or the mother. The child have Indian hair and not even she have Indian hair. My mother told me that the child is not mine.

She said: My son looks like me, I didn't force him to take my child because I didn't grow without my father. I don't care. I stop loving him a long time ago.

Gayle admitted that she has doubts about the paternity of her child, and insisted that the main issue is that Hanson pushed himself to be named the child father and he is not supporting the child.

He said: Di court ordered me to pay $4,000 every month. I just want to get di test done so that I can move on with my life. If di child is mine then I will play my role, but if the baby is not mine, then I will move on. I just don't want her to be a part of my life.
