Drug dealer gets 30 days for ganja |

|
A woman's luck ran out last Thursday after she was sentenced to 30 days in prison when she appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrates' Court to answer to ganja charges. Charged with possession of, and dealing in ganja, is Francella Siley of a Kingston address. It is alleged that Siley, who appeared to be in her 60s, was caught with 20 ounces of ganja at her stall in Mandela Park in Half-Way Tree, St Andrew. When asked by Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey how many times has she appeared before the court for the offence, Siley responded "three times Your Honour." RM Pusey reprimanded the accused and told her that this time she would be going to jail for the offence. "You can't be doing the same thing over and over again ... let this be a lesson," RM Pusey told the elderly woman. Siley was sentenced to 30 days in prison for each count. The sentences are to run concurrently. |
