Jerome Waite started his third tenure as head coach of Arnett Gardens Football Club yesterday afternoon.

Waite, who guided Arnett Gardens to back-to-back championship success has replaced Calvin Lewis, who resigned.

In his resignation letter to club chairman Omar Davies, Lewis stated that he had some personal and family issues which would have affected his continued service to the club.

Waite will be assisted by former captain Eugene 'Bighead' Williams, while former players Byron Earle and Denton Shedden will continue in their roles as coaches for the youth programme covering the under 13 to under 21 teams.

In his address to the players, Waite underlined that a code of conduct will be in place by Monday and that within the next two weeks, there will be an assessment and evaluation of each player.

Meanwhile, chairman Omar Davies told the players that he was embarassed after the 5 - 0 loss to arch-rivals Tivoli Gardens in the semi-final of the Flow Champions Cup and noted that those who do not wish to continue being a part of the team should say so as it will not be business as usual.

Only four players were missing from the training session, which also saw the return to action of defender Anthowe Dawkins and striker Andre Clennon, who were out for some time with injuries.
