Nodley Wright, Star Writer
After an unsuccessful trial at Aston Villa, while still a schoolboy at Rusea's High School, former schoolboy star Brian Brown says Harbour View was just what he needed to build himself up. "To come to Harbour View is the dream of most players in the Premier League. It is a very professional club. They have things in place to ensure that players do well, and that is what I really needed at the time," Brown said after scoring his team's second goal in their 2-1 win over Arnett Gardens on Sunday as, Harbour View recorded their second with from five starts to improve their standing to seventh. Brown has had a hand in three of Harbour View's four goals so far this season, scoring twice and forcing an own goal with the other. "At Montego Bay United, I was not getting the time on the field that I needed to improve my game, and I needed games, so Harbour was the place for me, and I am loving it here," the man from St James added. Brown, who fired Harbour View to their first win of the season, a 1-0 win over Rivoli, and repeated the feat with Sunday's performance, said one of the best things about his new home is the coach's belief in him. "I am doing good so far. I just need to finish more chances so the team can win more, but it is important that the coach believes in me. "I feel great that the coach believes in me. I have been finishing well in training, and as long as I keep doing this, I will be playing, the coach has told me." |
