Battle on for CONCACAF Under-20 spots

The battle for two spots in the CONCACAF Women's Under-20 Championship continues when the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) tournament kicks off with a double-header at the Waterhouse Stadium in Drewsland today.

In Group A, Cuba face Grenada at 4 p.m., which will be followed by Trinidad and Tobago against Anguilla, two hours later.

Hosts Jamaica are drawn in Group B alongside Dominican Republic, St Kitts and Nevis, and Suriname. That group will bow into action tomorrow at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex. At the completion of the group stage, the top two teams on points from each group will advance to the semi-finals from where the winners move on to the final to fight for the CFU Women's Under-20 trophy.

Both finalists will automatically qualify for the CONCACAF Women's Under-20 tournament and will join host nation Cayman Islands as the teams qualifying from the Caribbean.
