Insurance agent gets bail extension |

|
A former insurance agent accused of withholding premium payments entrusted to him by one of his clients to pay over to his company, had his bail extended until October 29 yesterday. Andre Grant pleaded not guilty in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court to attempting to obtainin money by false pretence and embezzlement. The Crown is alleging that the complainant, who has been a client to Grant since 2009, gave him her premiums to pay on her behalf over a period expanding a year as she had lost her job. However, Grant is accused of keeping all the premiums given to him and is yet to hand over same to his company. Following investigations, he was charged. |
