An employee suspected of stealing goods valued at $1.4 million from his place of employment over a period of time was offered $150,000 bail until November 5 in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. Charged with larceny as a servant is Ryan Wilson who is to report to the Olympic Gardens Police Station on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. The Crown is alleging that they have video evidence recorded by surveillance cameras showing Wilson stealing items from his employer. In his last act of alleged theft, the Crown told Resident Magistrate Lorna Shelly-Williams that the defendant was observed stealing saltfish and placing it in his water boot. They are also alleging that he acted with the assistance of one other person. |
