Accused swindler to return to court |

|
A man accused of swindling money from another man was ordered to return to the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on October 31, with the full sum of money taken from the complainant. Charged with obtaining money by means of false pretence is Jermaine Brown. purchase phones The allegations are that on April 24, the complainant met with the accused at New Port West to purchase two BlackBerry cell phones valued at $60,000. The money was handed over to Brown who told the complainant to wait for a few minutes. Several hours passed and Brown did not return with either the phones or the money. Brown was subsequently charged after he was positively pointed out during an identification parade. It is expected that full restitution will be made on October 31. |
