Patexx - File Popular dancehall artiste Patexx, who recently left the island on his first solo European tour, said he is so far pleased with the experiences gained. The deejay, real name Rohan Rankin, departed on October 6 and landed in Zurich, Switzerland, where he did his first stage performance before other appearances in Berlin and Bochum. Patexx, who became popular after the 2010 release collaboration Summer Time with Bounty Killer, has again teamed up with the dancehall giant for the single Mi Alright, which was produced by Johnny Wonder. The song has been getting positive feedback from his fans and regular rotations on local and international radio. The video, directed by Dameon Gayle, has so far been well received by the public. Part of Patexx's mission in Europe is to promote the single, which has been included on UK's hottest mix tape Clean & Out, by DJ Fearless. The mix tape will soon be made ready for download worldwide. After his European tour, Patexx, also known for songs like Cook, Wine And Go Dung and Party Mi Say, is expected back in the island in a few weeks for his annual birthday party, dubbed this time as 'Red Cup' edition. The event will feature Bounty Killer, members of the Alliance Next Generation camp, and many more. The deejay, who hails from St Thomas, wants to thank all the loyal fans who have shown continuous support since his breakthrough in the music business. "The fans have been the best thing since day one and I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart," he said. |
