Kashu shines on overseas shows |
|||||
Kashu - Contributed Moby's recording artiste Darren Williams, popularly known as Kashu, recently returned to the island after a brief stint in the United States. The deejay made memorable impressions on music lovers in Massachusetts, where he performed on an event called Island Fest, held at the Lamp Post Club in Martha's Vineyard. "The show in Massachusetts was very good, the people really showed me a lot of love. Every song I did got a good response, especially songs like Mi Amor, Double Love, Nutten Nah Gwaan, Mama's Joy and No Badder Than Me. It was pure niceness inside the venue, I really earned myself some new fans at that show," said Kashu. After leaving Massachusetts, Kashu moved on to the Tri-state area, where he performed at the Cabana House in Connecticut at Higher Boukie, and Tony's Libra Affair Birthday Bash. Performing alongside former Shocking Vibes deejay Silver Cat, Kashu delivered a fantastic performance for the hundreds of patrons who attended the event. "Every time I perform in Connecticut I always have a good time, and this time around it was no different. All the artistes on the line-up did well, everybody in the club had a great time, it was a really nice show." Now that he is back home, Kashu is concentrating on the promotion of his controversial single, No Badder Than Me, on Moby Records Ugly Duckling rhythm. "Right now I am busy promoting this song in the streets, everywhere I go the people love it. A lot of people are telling me it is going to be a big hit. The video is also getting a lot of rotation, it's a good look," he said. Kashu is also getting ready to drop three new singles, Tongue Ring on the Tongue Ring rhythm for Wattage Productions, Carmen on Moby's Hakuna Matata rhythm, and Quick Fix done for Vikings Production on the Baby Mother rhythm. |
