After a brief hiatus, the increasingly popular bi-monthly comedy event Comedytainment is back.

The organisers have announced that singer Alaine and comedians, Pretty Boy Floyd, Dufton Shepherd, Kathy 'tan deh deh' Grant and Jerry Benzwick will reign supreme at its next staging, scheduled for Thursday, October 24, at Redbones the Blues Café in New Kingston.

'A line-up such as this is the perfect recipe for an entertaining night out. The audience will experience an abdominal workout before the night ends.' stated Nicole Brown of IDEAs, producers of the event.

The Comedytainment series, which started in December 2012, was concep-tualised to showcase stand-up comedy as a bona fide addition to the entertainment landscape in Jamaica. So far, the event has featured top acts like Dr Michael Abrahams, Owen 'Blakka' Ellis, Christopher 'Johnny' Daley, Elva, Bongo Herman, Professor Nuts, among others.

The event also encourages up-and- coming comedians and audience members alike to participate in the open-mic sessions as a means of unearthing new talent.
