Court to decide if ... HUBBY, MATEY BEAT WIFE - Spouse flogged for allegedly taking photos of the two

A matter involving a man who is accused of teaming up with his girlfriend to beat his estranged wife after his spouse took pictures of the two was set for trial in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

The husband, Carlton Nicholson, has been charged with aiding and abetting assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.

Nicholson's wife, Gayle, and his girlfriend Lasora Clarke have been charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily charge.

All three parties are to return to court for trial on November 7.

Allegations are that on the day of the incident, Gayle saw her husband drove up to her gate with his girlfriend inside his vehicle and she went to photograph the two.

It is alleged that an argument and a fight developed between the parties. It's alleged that Carlton helped his new partner to fight his wife.

All parties involved made reports to the police and they were charged.

In court yesterday, Gayle, who is the estranged wife, pleaded guilty as she said that she was attacked and she defended herself.

The wife also told the court that she took pictures of the two as she wanted the photographs as proof in a matter she has against her husband in the Family Court.

Clarke, who wanted the matter to go to mediation, told the court that Carlton's wife is constantly at her work place and she throws regular tantrums.
