Ghanaian police arrest Jamaican for ganja

A Jamaican national was on Sunday arrested by Ghanaian police officials for cultivating ganja in the African country, THE STAR has learnt.

The accused has been identified as Raul Cliff.

Our news team understands that law enforcement officials are compiling narcotics charges to be laid against the Jamaican..

According to www.vibeghana.com, reports from the Hohoe Divisional Police Crime Office said the suspect, who is married to a Ghanaian, had cultivated more than two acres of the substance ostensibly for export.

Crime Officer Kartey Otumi said a search and destroy task force retrieved two sacks of dried leaves suspected to be weed from the suspect, leading to his arrest and arraignment.

THE STAR gathered that the consignment has been sent for forensic examination.

Cliff is schedule to reappear in court again today.
