Accused gas thieves get bail extension |
|||||
Two men accused of stealing gallons of diesel fuel from the Jamaica Urban Transport Company (JUTC) had their bails extended until November 15 when they are scheduled to reappear in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court. Antonio Jackson and Ken Campbell had their bails extended when they appeared before Resident Magistrate Simone Wolfe-Reece yesterday. It is alleged that in November 2007, Jackson was caught on the JUTC compound in Twickenham Park by security personnel with a quantity of diesel fuel. When confronted, he told them that he got permission from Campbell to take the fuel. Both were held and subsequently charged with simple larceny by Detective Corporal Sharie Thomas. They have made numerous court appearances since the incident. Thomas is set to testify at the next court hearing. The men were duly represented when they appeared in court. - R.T. |
