Members of the Island Special Constabulary Force in St Catherine are mourning the loss of a corporal who collapsed and died while on duty on Tuesday.

He is Renford Thomas, 60, of Ebonyvale, St Catherine.

Thomas was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital where he died. It was revealed that he died from a heart attack.

Many of Thomas's former colleagues said the late policeman would be sadly missed.
