Reggae artiste Denyque has teamed up with reggae/dancehall artiste Konshens to remix her current Big Ship-produced single 'Make Me Believe', which was recorded on an authentic dancehall rhythm. According to the singer, she was forced to leave her comfort zone for the original single and Konshens will had a unique twist to the remix. "I chose Konshens because I think he had and has the perfect aura for the song - his sound and what he represents as an artiste," she told THE STAR. The female singjay, who is no stranger to collaborating with male artistes, says working with Konshens was positive. She also disclosed that the reception for Make Me Believe has been encouraging. "The reception has been epic. Tun up and buck. At first I hadn't made the connection; Stephen played me the track and said he wanted us to do a single. I loved the track. Made you feel like you wanted to move," she said. Denyue received much attention for her single Super Girl and she is expecting that this relatively new song will be equally gratifying to music lovers. She also highlighted that she loved the current dancehall reggae movement and hopes the progression will continue. "I love a challenge, so coming out of my comfort zone is never a problem for me, so I'm ready for it all," she said. |
